This is one of the few games where the whole game was designed by a producer before we even started setting the game-play up. Which is really cool, because it allowed us to see the game as a whole and thereby much easier to code.
The game is an isometric game (some call it 2½D). The game looks 3D, but it is 2D and only 2D. Our hero “Magnus” walks around on a grid using an A-Star pathfinding algorithm which I developed for the game.
